Supporting Society Through Charitable Giving
As the largest group of anesthesiologists in the Midwest, AAPA is devoted to serving our communities both near and far. Our corporate foundation provides over $100,000 in financial support annually to St. Paul-based organizations such as the Festival of Trees, HealthEast Golf Classic, Children's Health Care Foundation, Physicians Serving Physicians, and the East Metro Medical Society Foundation.
In addition to our financial contributions, our physicians, nurse anesthetists, and staff invest their time in improving healthcare in the community by volunteering hundreds of hours of education and training in our facilities and local schools.
Our physicians also contribute substantial time in leadership positions in the medical community, including serving as board members for the Minnesota Society of anesthesiologists and the Twin Cities Medical Society Foundation.
AAPA's Community Involvement
Multiple AAPA anesthesiologists have been named Chief of Staff at our hospitals. AAPA's leadership also extends to the national level within the American Society of anesthesiologists.
AAPA's community involvement is worldwide and includes mission work in multiple countries including Mexico, Peru, Jamaica, Ukraine, Zimbabwe, China, and Guatemala. Our physicians and nurse anesthetists have made multiple trips to these and other countries in order to provide anesthesia care and expertise that makes life-changing surgical procedures possible.
